Roque Damacela

Roque is a senior financial services executive with over twenty-five years ofCommercial Finance, Trade and Supply Chain Finance experience. He has held leadership roles in the development and delivery of financing solutions for MNC,

large local corporate and small and middle-market companies in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa, North America and Latin America.

Prior to launching Accel, he was MD &Global Head, Open Account Trade & Commodity Financeat Standard Chartered Bank.There he was responsible for successfully developing and driving the growth ofstrategic products across all segments and geographies.Prior to Standard Chartered, Roque held regional leadership rolesin EMEA withthe Trade franchises of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Citibank. The first half of Roque’s career wasin commercial finance and primarily focused on early-stage investment and oversight of financial services companies inLatin America and Asia. He held a variety of senior international rolesat Heller Financial, Inc.(subsequently GE Capital) which ranged from corporate development to being the Senior Credit Officer of its international division.

Roque is currently based in Singapore. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

A Global Trade Finance specialist, Bertrand is currently responsible for HSBC’sGlobal Trade and Receivables Finance Solutions Structuring team. He leads the team that structures complex working capital optimization solutions for HSBC’s clients.

Bertrand is a Chartered Actuary, has an MBA from the London Business School and, an MSc degree in Economics and Business Sciences from UCM.

Sean Edwards

Forfaiting

Secretary General, FCI

Sean Edwards is an English solicitor, formerly with Clifford Chance, and is now Head of Legal at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited. He is Chairman of the International Trade & Forfaiting Association (ITFA).

He is one of the principal draftsmen of the Uniform Rules for Forfaiting (URF) (ICC Publication no. 800), a joint initiative of the ITFA and ICC and published by the ICC. He was also a member of the drafting group for the Standard Definitions for Techniques of Supply Chain Finance published by ICC, ITFA and a number of other international trade finance organisations.

He sits on the Executive Committee of the ICC Banking Commission.

Sean has written articles on trade finance, particularly on forfaiting and other forms of receivables finance, for all the major trade finance magazines and is on the editorial boards of Trade & Forfaiting Review (TFR) and Global Trade Review (GTR). He is a frequent presenter at trade finance conferences dealing with a range of subjects.

Vivek Gupta

Head of Trade for North Asia and Greater China for ANZ.

Prior, through roles as Global Head of Trade and Supply Chain and as Head of Trade, Asia, Vivek built ANZ Group’s Trade Business into a market leading, well respected business in Asia Pacific recognised independently by Greenwich Survey and others.

Vivek is based out of Hong Kong, is a member of the BAFT Asia Council and also chairs the BAFT Asia Trade Finance Committee.

A seasoned international banker with experience in ANZ, HSBC and Rabobank, Vivek has held senior business and people leadership roles across Asia (India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia) and Eastern Europe (Georgia and Kazakhstan). These diverse roles have been in Global Trade, Project Finance, Structured Trade Finance, Global Custody, in Relationship Banking and in Food & Agribusiness Industry.

Vivek holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. A Mining Engineer by training, he has also attended Executive Programs at Kellogg School of Management – Northwestern University and by Duke University.

Christian Hausherr

Christian Hausherr is the European Product Head of Supply Chain Finance for Deutsche Bank’s Payables Finance solution, bringing to the role over 20 years of experience in Banking, In-house Consulting and Product Management for Cash Management and Supply Chain Finance.

Christian spent his career within Deutsche Bank in various divisions and regions, mostly spanning across Europe and the Transaction Banking business.

He holds a diploma in business administration from the University of Bayreuth and has worked in Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, the US, as well as in India and Uganda on Corporate Social Responsibility assignments in the financial and educational sector.

Christian was an active member of the Supply Chain Finance Working Group with the Euro Banking Association as well as the Drafting Group that was mandated by the International Chamber of Commerce to develop and establish a common terminology for Supply Chain Finance business. The first edition of this document has been released in March 2016 and is publicly available.

Angela Koll

Angela Koll has worked in Trade Finance for more than 20 years and is now Product Manager in Trade & Supply Chain Finance, being responsible for the Bank Payment Obligation (BPO) in Commerzbank.

She is member of the BPO Commercialisation Initiative and of the Global SCF Forum Drafting Group. Angela is also engaged in DLT/Blockchain activities for Trade and Supply Chain Finance, e.g. at the R3 Blockchain consortium.

Vinod Madhavan

Distributor Finance

Head of Transactional Products and Services (TPS), Africa
Standard Bank

Vinod Madhavan is currently Head of Transactional Products and Services (TPS), Africa at Standard Bank.  In this role, he has P&L responsibility for the TPS business for Standard Bank’s franchise across 20 markets in Africa.

The TPS business in Standard Bank includes the products and solutions offered to corporate and financial institution clients, across cash management, trade & supply chain finance and investor services.  He joined Standard Bank in Jan, 2014 as Head TPS South Africa and took on his current role with the wider geographic remit, since Sep, 2016.

Before this, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank for over 12 years,where his last role was Managing Director and Global Head, Local Corporates products, Receivables & Supply Chain Finance, based in Singapore. Prior to that he was the Regional Head of Product Management for Africa for five years, operating from Johannesburg, South Africa.

With more than20 years’ experience in commercial banking, Madhavan has worked with corporations and financial institutions to address their transaction banking and working capital financingneeds in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Before joining Standard Bank, he worked for Standard Chartered, Citibank and Deutsche Bank. Madhavan’s career has spanned roles in operations,product management and sales positions operating from Singapore, India and South Africa.

Vinod Madhavan holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)Madras, India, and did his post-graduate studies in business management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)Ahmedabad, India. He holds an international cash management (ICM) certification from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), UK.

Michael McDonough

Payables Finance

Global Product Head Corporate Trade & Supply Chain Finance

Michael McDonough is the global product head for J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Trade & Supply Chain Finance business. He is based in New York and serves on the Management Team for the Global Trade Finance business.

Michael leads a global function working with multinational corporate clients around the world. Working with teams across the J.P. Morgan network, the trade business structures and puts in place solutions for working capital optimization and risk mitigation.

Michael previously held global supply chain finance management positions with J.P. Morgan, RBS and ABN Amro in London and Amsterdam. He has extensive knowledge of the Supply Chain product suite, encompassing payables and receivables based structures. Additionally, he has past experience in a range of working capital structuringroles including leveraged finance/ cash flow lending and asset based lending.

Michael has both a BS and a MBA from Boston College.

Peter Mulroy

Receivables Discounting, Factoring

Secretary General, FCI

Peter Mulroy is Secretary General of FCI, the world’s largest association and network of factoring and receivables finance companies, with its headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Peter was previously Managing Director and International Regional Manager of CIT Commercial Services, having served on the Management Committee, supporting the global growth strategy of the company. Peter is a past Chairman of FCI, and has served on the FCI Executive Committee for over a decade. Peter has an MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management in Arizona.

As Secretary General, Mr. Mulroy assists banks, regulators and governments in educating the role and introducing the concept of factoring. He addresses audiences around the world on the subject of receivables finance and international trade and is generally regarded as a “global ambassador for the factoring industry”.
